* Hay varias maneras de escribir la fecha en inglés. Prefiero utilizar esta que veis aquí arriba en la que repasamos cómo se escriben los números ordinales. Es decir, que no decimos en inglés el día "16 de marzo", sino "marzo, el decimo sexto" día. El año en inglés lo decimos así: two thousand and twenty. También se puede leer de esta otra manera: twenty-twenty.

Exercise 1. Read and translate these sentences orally with a loud voice. Repeat the reading twice.

1. Marie was born in Warsaw, in Poland, in 1867.

2.  She was the daughter of two teachers.

3. At school, Marie was an excellent student.

4. She was very intelligent, and she wanted to be a scientist.

Exercise 2. Write the sentences of the exercise 1 in their negative form. Then, you must read them aloud.
