Exercise 1. Read and translate these sentences orally with a loud voice. Repeat the reading twice. Then, you must write them on your notebook (in English and in Spanish).

Ejercicio 1. Lee y traduce oralmente estas oraciones en voz alta. Léelo dos veces más. Luego, debes escribirlas en tu cuaderno (en inglés y en español).

1. In 1891, she went to Paris to study Science and Maths.

En 1891, ella fue a París a estudiar Ciencias y Matemáticas.

2. She worked very hard and was the best student in her class.

Ella trabajó muy duro y fue la mejor estudiante de su clase.

3. In 1894, Marie met her husband, Pierre Curie.

En 1894, Marie conoció a su marido, Pierre Curie.

4. They had two daughters, Irène and Eve.

5. Pierre was also a scientist, and he and Marie worked together.
